Shonda, Thank you for the update on your visit last week. It was a pleasure to meet with you and Denny to discuss the needs of our facility. I would like to commend you and I do site visits with vendors all the time and quite a few of them do not pick up on what you did with the kind of work we do. This is not an easy job but it’s what we do.As I mentioned to you and Denny I’m also impressed with the customer service you provide. The girls don’t skip a beat on getting back to me and following up on our needs which makes me feel like a wanted customer. Custer service is a thing of the past for some of the companies I have dealt with. We call it "Service Excellence" { treat everyone like a guest, team work, and professionalism} Based on my experience so far, AirTight is "AIRTIGHT" in every thing your company does. Please thank everyone for being committed to there work. It certainly shows. Mr & Mrs Crumpton should be proud of there Airtight team. Thank you again for last week it was enjoyable!!! I wanted to take moment and share a really good experience and deal/sale that I had with Greg Crumpton and AirTight Mechanical. We had a small data center in the Charlotte area with two CRAC systems, a mid-sized UPS and a small backup power generator. Greg went to the center and provided us with costs for removal. Well interesting enough, the AC units were not really worth removing at that time, however without having to go a rigger and an electrician to get the UPS and the generator removed and loaded - Greg’s team did it all. It was a very professional job and fast. The units were received at our stations in excellent shape and the whole job was done on time and within budget. I don’t think anything could have gone more smoothly and the customer was very happy with the result. I enjoyed the one-stop shopping experience – this type of work usually involves the work of 3 different contractors. I am looking forward and actively searching for more jobs where I can employ Airtight’s staff. Greg also recommended Ez Housh for a job I’m looking at in the Columbus Ohio area. Ez should be inspecting it next week to give me a feel for removing more AC and backup power equipment. The Unified Group (www.theunifiedgroup.com) members are becoming my preferred go-to guy’s for any work that I have in their areas. I would also like to tip my hat again to the folks at Marinia Mechanical in California who stepped in and fixed a problem CRAC unit that we had in their area. We also appreciate them picking up the service contract for the client, who desperately needed it and finally realized that “Uncle Bob” had to quit working on their data center equipment and they needed to turn to a polished professional. I just got back from looking at the new chilled water coils you replaced this past weekend. The project turned out great; once again you and your team have proven why AirTight is the best in the business! It’s obvious that this project was well planned and well executed; your guys did a great job of cleaning up as well. If not for the fact that we have new coils and a sealed condensate pan I could not tell that you were even here, most contractors miss that part. I want to put into writing what I’ve told AirTight staff on many occasions. The service you provided was professional, competent, thorough and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for more nor been more pleased with the service or results of the project. Premier, Inc. faced significant challenges in cooling it’s data center with an aging and poorly designed HVAC system. We reviewed alternative bids and designs and felt that AirTight presented the best long term solution for Premier’s needs. The execution of the project was well planned with effective and routine communication. The AirTight staff were completely professional to everyone they came into contact with. The removal of four old and large HVAC units from a multi-story building was done with proper planning, communication and emphasis on safety. The result was a complete success with minimal impact on normal business. The completion of the project was done on time, on budget and with the level of quality we had come to expect from AirTight. After many months of utilizing AirTight’s new HVAC design we have a consistently cool data center that only requires routine maintenance. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results of the project. I was by the job site at Mecklenburg Open MRI yesterday and just wanted to take a minute to drop you a line about the mechanical job you guys did there. The installation of the outdoor chiller and all the mechanical plumbing and wiring has to be one of the cleanest and most professional looking installations I’ve seen in a long time. We here at Cardinal Logistics Management, Inc. contracted with AirTight Mechanical to perform our HVAC needs for the new data center we were designing. I worked with their sales engineer to plan out a solution that included the cooling and humidity control needs of the room. AirTight Mechanical was very flexible with us in working up solutions for a variety of scenarios. Once the final solution was decided upon, the process for ordering and implementation moved smoothly. The arrival of all ordered supplies to be delivered to our facilities directly was coordinated with us as were the technicians’ schedules once the project was set to implement. As with all large projects involving the many various trade partners, there were glitches in implementation schedules as well as changes to the original plans which forced the rescheduling and/or redesign of some parts of the install. AirTight Mechanical’s staff/technicians were always accommodating and understanding when these situations arose. The technicians installed the A/C unit, duct work and appropriate copper tubing in the data center with very professional results. The team of technicians also installed the outdoor unit and ran all necessary piping/conduit to it through the exterior wall in a professional and well coordinated manner. In addition to the work on the new system, they reconfigured the duct work from the existing A/C unit which serviced the room previously. The final project in the data center is one we are very happy with. We are looking forward to working with AirTight Mechanical on future HVAC needs as they arise for our company. Justin Loucks
I wanted to take a minute and express my appreciation for the work of Shawn and Darry. Shawn was quick to respond to our call and both he and Darry worked diligently through the night to repair our computer room air conditioner. Our computer systems here in Charlotte service almost 3,000 people worldwide. These guys understood the importance of the repair and took the necessary steps to bring the A/C online as quickly as humanly possible.
As I mentioned to Jan, I was very appreciative of the work ethic shown by Ryan and the others and especially that they explained to me what was going on as the work progressed. I look forward to working with you and everyone at AirTight in the future. Thank you.
Just wanted to say again that I think your company’s customer service is the exemplary!! We called in a service call this morning around 9:30 or 10. The technician just called and let me know the problem, what he did to remedy the situation and what would happen if this remedy did not work. Now, THAT is customer service!! AirTight Mechanical (AMI) is the model of what a true ‘Service’ mechanical contractor should be. No matter what time of the day or what day of the week a problem arises their level of service is the same. The AMI dispatchers are responsive and communicate back very well with the ETA of their technicians or status of a job in progress. Their technicians are always willing and ready to resolve what ever problem you may have and to get your equipment back into service as soon as possible. AirTight understands our environment and the sense of urgency that is needed in responding to our needs in order to make us a successful property management company. Recently AirTight completed a complex re-build of our 60 ton DX Carrier unit at One Wachovia Center in uptown Charlotte , NC . This unit serves the executive floors and is obviously a high profile area and a very sensitive project. AMI was very in depth with their planning and put together a successful game plan. They kept me in the loop from the planning process all the way until after the project was complete. AirTight’s service doesn’t stop after the job is complete; they follow up with us and ensure that we are satisfied. I will definitely use them in the future and would highly recommend their service. This letter is months past due. However, I did not want to miss the opportunity to thank you for the services AirTight recently provided to our facility. Prior to this major HVAC “overhaul” our building was rapidly becoming an unpleasant work environment. Not only was the level of humidity uncomfortable for our staff and students, but it was also a great danger to the art piece in our chapel as well as the upholstery and carpeting throughout the building. The enormous invoice to fix these issues would have left us feeling frustrated and defeated if it hadn’t been for the accommodating service that AirTight offered. Your flexibility in working with our complex schedule and your commitment to provide an adequate solution was the “breath of fresh air” we were looking for. The work was done with sincere concern to limit interruptions during business hours and with an understanding for the level of professionalism we try and deliver to our students on a daily basis. Your staff was friendly, courteous (always “Yes, ma’am” and “no ma’am”), and efficient. However, I would say the one thing that I most appreciated when the project was complete was the fact that we really couldn’t tell you’d ever been there. Daren took painstaking efforts to adequately clean up each area where they had worked and even asked me to check behind them to be sure we were satisfied. That is a level of respect for our building that we rarely see from our vendors, and I truly appreciate it.
